"Dennis, I hope you are doing well. I've used the Fissureman IIseveral times and enjoy using it. I used it today and found a few pickers here in Georgia....."

GENERAL OPERATION
Place the nozzle tip at or in close against the selected area and then using a pulling motion on the FissureMan II piston handle, suction up the material. Then you may push the handle back down and flush water back into the same area before the next suction stroke to help break loose additional material .
Repeat the above process as many times as necessary to completely clean out a location to your satisfaction while emptying the various classified materials as needed. It's that simple!
The internal design of the collection chamber prevents the backwash of the liquefied solids through the suction tip, but not the water, so you can move as fast or slow as you like. (No worries of losing the material if the suction vacuum breaks because your thumb came off a vent hole too soon or you bump a rock while having to move the material quickly to a bucket!)
How aggressively to suction or flush an area will be determined through actual practice since all users and their locations will be unique. No material that enters the collection chamber will be lost until the chamber is full.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
As a location sampling device (while prospecting or searching for the best spot with the most "color" to work) this device can't be beat! The FissureMan II separates your sample into three distinct levels of concentrates to facilitate easy identification of the size and count of color at the sampling point. You can bypass a large portion of the usual labor and time consuming action of hand processing samples by having the material separated while you collect.
If color shows (or not) at the first level you can move up (or down) to the next level of concentrates and then the next. If you find you have nothing of interest showing - drop the material out and move on to the likely next location. This will allow evaluation of more locations along the stream bank or channel, faster in a given period of time, than stopping to hand process samples each time and having to pick out the oversize rocks. You will be able to find the best spot to actually work before you get out the shovel or heavier classification and prospecting equipment used for intensive mining of an area.
Gold is where you find it - but it isn't everywhere! Why work a gravel laden spot containing no color? Remember to sample, sample, and then sample some more for the best spot to work.
SECONDARY USE
Once you have located the best spot with the highest color count, the FissureMan II may be converted to a raw material collection tool. - Just remove the classification screens (put them in your pocket) and start suctioning the raw material for your heavier prospecting equipment to process. With or without the screens in place this unit will collect material less than 1/2" overall size and when the chamber is full, holds as much material as a standard 10" gold pan can process efficiently at one time (possibly twice as much if you continue to fill into the piston chamber). At this rate of collection you should be able to fill a bucket quickly with easy to process material minus the oversize junk gravel other larger diameter nozzle units collect.
Collection Tip: Just because the collection chamber is full doesn't mean you must stop and dump out the material. You may continue to collect material past this point and allow the piston chamber to hold the overflow if large volume collection is your desire (but expect to lose some material along the way). This method could double overall quantity collection of material between cleanouts.
FISSUREMAN II - GOLD-N-ROD
Please be aware that you won't be purchasing a couple of lengths of unfinished plastic pipe stuck into one another using a skinny O-ring for a piston seal and some mismatched fittings glued in place for a simple sniping tube that just moves some dirt. That type of suction device was the only choice for the prospector of yesterday,
The technology for the recreational gold prospector offered here is far more refined and has been adjusted to allow for easier retrieval and classification of the gold bearing material found in those hard to hike or reach places. In the following text you will be reviewing information concerning a new, quality custom sampling & prospecting tool that works as explained. This is the technology of today ........>

- CUSTOM COLOR SHIFTING PAINT -
The FissureMan II - GOLD-N-ROD is a prospecting tool sporting the professional appearance of multi-layer, Gold to Magenta color shifting lacquer paint.
You have probably seen this awesome paint used on high end autos like Porsche, Cadillac and many of the best customized machines and personal tools - the coloration exhibits one metal flake color and as it moves by, shifts to another dazzling metal flake color!
This is not an inexpensive step using an overcoat of cheap "fancy" paint but rather a quality addition to an already well-crafted prospecting tool incorporating the best materials available. In addition to being visually pleasing, the contrasting offset in color to surrounding natural earthtones provides easy visual identification of the device should it be left on the stream bank or dropped into moving water.
This functional quality enhancement is not provided with any other manual suction dredge on the market.
HOW IS IT USED?
The following pictures and written descriptions here are offered for general operational understanding of the FissureMan II. Displayed within the operational pictorials is the original B&W engineering prototype. It was used and photographed under typical field conditions and with the actual material results presented. The material collected and shown in the pictures is as found.
IN SUMMARY
- You do not have to disassemble the entire unit to get at the collected fines - it takes only a 1/2" twist of the fines cup to remove it for inspection.
- If you like what you see at this point you can remove the fines cup classification screen to access the next level/size of collected material for inspection.
- Finally, a 1/2" twist of the fines cup extender allows access for complete removal and/or inspection of the largest material in the collection head.
We make no claim that this tool will find gold - that is the function of the knowledgeable prospector. We do assert with complete certainty that if placer gold is located where you are searching with a FissureMan - you will be able to collect it!
We bid you - Good Hunting!
What you can expect to receive: FissureMan II - GOLD-N-ROD
** The nozzles may be used under different prospecting conditions to help locate and retrieve the gold or gem bearing material. While not evident in the pictures provided, several tips incorporate a mechanism that helps to eliminate the potential for deep nozzle plugging that might occur while not affecting the overall nozzle performance.
