Since then, the big mines, one of the cornerstone's of the SAfrican economy, have been operating with reduced power, and ESKOM, which produces about 95% of SAfrica's electricity, has rationed power through a process known as "load-shedding."
Medupi, which will be the biggest dry-cooled power station in the world, is expected to be built in phases and be fully completed by 2015. It will have an installed capacity of about 4,800 megawatts.

I laugh outloud. When in the history of the world, has a utility company, private or municipal,

The answer is simple:
Autoclave, high-pressure, high temp cyanide extraction is a budget buster! I don't do it. Nobody Does!!
Can't base a successful business model on a 20g sample!!! How much catalytic converter honeycomb or pellet do you think you can process in 100ml (about 1/8th cup of coffee) sample?
That is just not an economical scale operation in anyone's books!!
It was just a simple, laboratory controlled experiment those authoring scientists reported on doing, to justify gathering their monthly paycheck.
If their 2/3 ounce PT cyanide methods were scalable into a real CC processing biz model, you would be welding several miles of pipe and X-ray certifying each weld. And hear this!!! The SEALS required to maintain the 150-550 CELSIUS temps of hot cyanide under pressure just to perform cyanide extraction commercially, haven't even been invented yet! A'yup, that's right! Their ultra hot cyanide methods haven't even been implemented on a commercial basis NOT even in 2009!!
NOT EVEN MAJOR refineries are using NaCN protocols to extract PGMs. Purchasing or building from scratch-- super-sealed, high-pressure containers --in which to superheat Cyanide-- in order to process platinum does NOT meet my small footprint, predictable, easily sold platinum results, business model--a little guy's biz model which you've come to expect from me after 18 yrs of coaching others in how I ACTUALLY DO this precious metals, above-ground, discarded but highly profitable business niche!
